The Pullback Dude
Am I the only person that believes that hiring and paying someone to move another high paid coach away from the field or away from an official so that they will not get a penalty or injured is pretty stupid!!! Is there a class that teaches this pullback technique?! Does the pullback dude help the coach in the restroom?? Does the pullback dude help the Rams McVay in the bedroom? Does the pullback dude for Clemson’s spastic coach Venables get tipped by Venables when he goes beyond his pullback duty!? You can define pullback duty as you may, but you get the point!! If I wanted drama I would attend a local private school at lunchtime!! If I see more animated pullback dudes on the sidelines of high school games or even TU games I will have my 23rd stroke!!
Redbirds New Hitting Instructor is a Hit!
The St. Louis Cardinals have again jacked something away from the Houston Astros!!! This time it was not espionage and was simply the hiring of the new Cardinal hitting coach, Jeff Albert from the ’Stros!! His semi-free swinging emphasis will give the Redbird hitters more freedom and fewer restrictions with their own techniques!!
Is the Heat On Tulsa Basketball??
The Tulsa Basketball fans are becoming very restless!! The muckety mucks at TU are not getting their ROI (return on investment) with Coach Haith!! Pooh (Willamson) and Tubby(Smitn) sound like a couple of cartoon characters but would be a huge boost to Hurricane fan base!!! I would throw Shea Seals, Rod Thompson and Lee Mayberry in the mix as well!! Plus Bryce Thompson would love to play for father Rod!! Trey Phipps has already signed with TU!! Correct, come on TU come on!

Kansas State 72 Iowa State 71
I checked the actual birth certificate of Dean Wade and although it seems like he has been at KSU for a decade, it is only 25 years old!! K State and Wade came back from fifteen points down in the final ten minutes to send the Cyclones to a moth conference loss! Both teams should be solidly in the dance!!
Texas 78 OSU 69
The Cowboys and the Longhorns had a huge basketball fight at the OK Corral in Austin, Texas!! The OSU basketball team landed a super walk-on after tryouts a couple of weeks ago!! Former OSU star Bryant ’Big Country’ Reeves’ son Bryson ’Huge Country’ Reeves made the squad and has busted 5 basketball rims!! Bryson is 7’2” tall and weighs 420 lbs!! In the Texas games, he was called for a flagrant foul when he sneezed and his defender went hard to the floor!!

The Sooner coach Lon Keuger was given his first technical foul since he was playing in short shorts for Kansas State!! Lon asked an official who made a questionable call if he needed to use his reading glasses to read his book, because he was definitely not watching this game!! The Horny Frogs NCAA tourney look great and a big win over the Sooners helped move their seeding up!!

Kansas superstar Dedrick Lawson who looks like the first pick in the NBA draft, dropped 25 points on the Mountaineers who seem to be spiraling to an invitation to the CIT tournament!! West Virginia’s claim to fame this year is that they played Tennessee close for a half!! The Kansas big donor and faculty seating had to be reupholstered due to a skunk family escaping into their section!!! The new faux leather was not acceptable to some of the faculty!! True story!!

ORU travels to the frozen tundra to lose to the Fighting Hawks of North Dakota! ORU’s four freshmen starters were so cold that they were allowed to play with their uniforms over their Nike long johns!!

The NIT tournament is starting to look golden for the Hogs!!
Tulsa 70 East Carolina 58
The ’Cane need to win a 2 Conference Tourney games to have a chance at the NIT!! The team seems to check out on the road which is a mental toughness problem according to FOS writers!! East Carolina beat Cincinnati by 1 point at home!! Then played the Greenville, NC, YMCA thirty and over team and lost by 5!! Good win for the ’Cane!!
Kentucky 81 Tennessee 78
Huge game between two top 5 teams! Kentucky has Blue blood and Tennessee does not!! Tennessee Coach Rick Barnes who was chased out of Texas for Shaka not so Smart, is really a good coach!! One of these two schools will be a 1 seed and one will be a 2 seed!! What do you think?
