Lake Carla
A few weeks ago I took a week off to hang with my TU fratbrothers at spectacular Lake Carla near Bloomington, Indiana!! Lake Carla was named after my TU fraternity brother's late wife, beautiful Carla, who passed 12 years ago.
Those who knew her thought the world of her for putting up with brother Doug’s quirkiness for 27 years of marriage!! In fact, I’m sure she was looking down at at the lake 3 years ago and saw a frat brother fall into the lake!!

Seeing a 65-year-old do the splits between the boat and the dock, and losing a priceless Zebco 360 Junior fishing pole made Carla break into laughter in heaven!! Every year when we head to see Doug at Lake Carla we are all a bit older, grumpier, and gassier but I know that Carla is smiling down on her special Lambda Chi, Doug, and just shaking her head!
