Bobblehead Sports:

Shhh!  I watched Monster Inc. by myself!

THIS REALLY HAPPENED!!

Last Saturday night Papa and Mimi were babysitting Charlie until 7:45ish when she dozed off while watching Monsters Inc. for the 12 thousandth time!!  I had left the man cave while watching the Georgia vs Clemson game off and on, to join my Granddaughter and watch MI (know as Monsters Inc not Mission Impossible in the Lohmeyer home)!!  Mimi took Charlie to bed and I sat and watched another hour of MI and simply forgot about the slobber knocker game in the man cave!!  Not sure if I just did not want to move off the couch and finish the movie or not watch an SEC game with no offense!!  Fun Saturday evening balancing grandkids and NCAA football!!

B in T Notes:

Questions to Ponder after the first couple of weeks of college football:

Is Tulsa sneaky good or just plain ole bad?

Should we crown Alabama as National Champs and cancel the rest of the season?

Should ORU take up playing college football?  Should TU take up playing college football?  Sorry Mrs. Montgomery JK!!!. Hehe

Are OU and OSU average?  Is Arkansas the best college team in the area next to NEO?

During football season when the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals play baseball does anyone care?

When the Dallas Cowboys were invited to the Big 12 did anyone notice?

Did Coach Gundy replace his mullet with a Partridge Boys look?

More questions to ponder next week!

B in T College Pics:

Oklahoma State 38 Tulsa 24

This game turned out to be a slobber knocker with both team's defenses hitting hard and often!!  A group of Hurricane fans in spandex yellow pants, and a group of Cowboy fans in orange spandex pants had a small tussle at Hideaway Pizza in Stillwater!!  Both sets of fans were ex Cheerleaders and the Tulsa folks accused the Oklahoma State group of putting pizza πŸ• on their yellow spandex pant seats!!  After a small amount of tugging hair, both groups sat their pon poms down stopped the skirmish!!  Hideaway management offered some buy one get one free coupon and both sides hugged and were now besties for life!!  TU had a few questionable calls go against them which usually is the case for visitors of Stillwater!!  The best QB wore blue and gold despite the score!!

Oklahoma 70 Western Carolina 7

The Western Carolina Catamounts are named after wild cats πŸ― similar to Pumas in South India!!  The Catamounts have no team speed or team size but do have a 3.65 team GPA!!  The Sooners are down to 2 scholarship running backs, 4 walk-ons, and 2 transverted h-backs!  This group rushed for 366 yards and 7 touchdowns!!

********Upset Special**********

Arkansas 27 Texas 24

The Razorbacks played strong defense with young Myles Slusher make 6 tackles, 3 breakups (pass attempts, not girlfriends), and 1 interception in the red zone!!  The Shorthorns are much better off with Casey Thompson not Rock Hudson at QB!!  OKC kid can ball πŸˆ!!

Ohio State 42 Oregon 20

Tradition filled Ohio State, with traditional red and silver uniforms vs. Nike’s banana and aqua green neon-colored jerseys!!

Texas A&M 49 at Colorado 24

This game was over before it started!!  The giant Aggie 50k fans yell-off was interrupted Friday night when some Razorback fans snuck into Kile stadium and called the hogs!!  The hogs hat group was immediately escorted off the field by the National Guard and 40 Texas Rangers!

Iowa State 28 Iowa 27

The Clones and their 6 year QB Brock Purdy threw a 30 yd touchdown with 1 minute left!!  Tight end Charles Kolar caught two touchdowns from Purdy in what is known in the state of Iowa as the battle of the Tight ends!!  Iowa commonly has the best tight ends in the nation!!  Tight ends grow like corn stalks in Iowa land!!

Kansas State 56 Southern Illinois 13

The Mildcats are playing a school more known for their Arts and Humanity school than for their football!!  The Salukis were an arch-rival TU back in the ’70s and were constantly in the Missouri Valley Conference cellar!!

Michigan 27 Washington 24

Michigan upsets 20th ranked Washington in front of 105k fans without masks in a sess pool of Kakhi pants in Ann Harbor, Michigan!!  Michigan Coach Harbaugh saves his job for the current week and then untucks his sweater shirt from his pants and relaxes for another week!!

B in T High School Pics:

Owasso 41 Broken Arrow 35

The Rams and Coach Bill Blankenship are hot on the trail of history as the elder Blankenship defeats his son Josh, the new head coach at Broken Arrow!!  Josh is a bit behind on the transfer rules and needs to learn the ebb and flow of the high school transfer portal!!  The legendary Blankenship Tulsa coaching family meets at Ricardo’s Mexican food restaurant on Saturday!!

Jenks 35 at TU Chapman Stadium vs Union 30

Jenks Jr QB Ike Owens has a strong arm and had enough zip to throw for 600 yards if his receivers could hold the pigskin!!  Jenks D shut the door on the last Union threat by intercepting the ball in the corner of the end zone!!

Bishop Kelley 26 at Bishop McGinness 20

This Battle of Catholic powerhouse schools in Oklahoma had recruiting territory in Tulsa and Oklahoma City at stake!!

Cascia Hall 35 Berryhill 27

The BMWs were favored over the Ford F150s by 10 according to Vegas but B in T figures the Cascia late Thursday night team puff puff meeting may have left the team a little tired!!

B in T DINER OF THE WEEK   Bob’s Grill  221 S. Main St.   Bob’s Grill, according to many Kay County elite:  ‘the best brown gravy this side of Kansas’!!  This gravy is used by the gallon at Bob’s AND Del’s Tire and Automotive on Main Street, Tonkawa, Ok!!

The Rangers use to have such names as Stremme, Taton, Vickers, Carner, and Minor (RIP to a super young man) and are striving to just win a game!!  This might be the Friday!!

Tonkawa 28 Perry 21

Tonkawa has long been known for its powerful class A football..............and Perry is known for Wrastling!!

Cushing 34 at Berryhill 21

Cushing LB and B in T nephew Caleb wanted to get his team fired πŸ”₯ up at the Thursday dinner so he had two super burritos from Mi Casa Mexican Grill!!  He followed with a fried ghost pepper flown in from Guadalupe!!  He made 11 tackles against Berryhill!!  I shat you not!!

B in T Pro Pics:

Buccaneers 34 Cowboys 24

The Cowboys vs Superbowl Champion Bucs are the NFL’s Thursday opener!!

Tom Brady throws 2 touchdown passes to Gronk and 10 kisses to wife Giselle!

Chiefs 31 Browns 28

Chief TE Kelce and QB Mahomes were caught by TMZ at the infamous Kansas City strip club Chapped Hindies!!  The two young men were apparently inebriated and dancing with some of the ladies on stage!!  The next day they connected for two touchdowns and two huge headaches!!

Cardinals 26 at Titans 17

After an unforgettable preseason, Arizona QB Kyler Murray throws for two touchdowns and runs for 104 yards and a touchdown in the opening road victory for the Cardinals!!  Rookie Zaven Collins from TU made 30 tackles and returned to Hominy, Oklahoma and shot two bucks!!!  True shat!!

Broncos 31 at Giants 22

The Broncos Teddy Bridgewater, no relation to Teddy Roosevelt, is a better QB than advertised!!  Numerous New York sportswriters have already picked the Giants to go 3 - 14 this year and a few are predicting that Eli Manning is coming back in 2022!!  I shat u not!!

Have a great sports week!!
