The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges played in their first USA-sanctioned Bocce tournament in Kansas City!!  We had a party of a time and 3 of us qualified for Nationals in August!!  

Some of us purchased some USA 

gear to take back to Tulsa!!

Great fun, and a Special Thanks to Margie, Leslie, Anthony, and of course Priscilla who was assigned to certain crazy members!!

B in T BOBBLEHEAD FAMILY SPORTS:

#1 B in T Fan, Uncle Thurston, is Learning Bocce Ball at the Ripe Ole Age of 94!

For the last 4 or 5 years, our Uncle Thurston has given B in T numerous positive words (each week) with love every time!!  He loves ❤️ the B in T football picks and gives me statistics about how my picks suck!!  A few times during the pandemic he was the only one responding to my writing, and I love him for it!!  He has been intrigued lately by my Paralympic Bocce Ball so a few days ago at his nursing home near Plano, Texas, he started playing Bocce Ball and on his first day won two frickin games!!  That's a good month for me!! 

Here is Thurston’s text:

“I played my first Bocce ball game today and did better than I thought I would.  The ball is a lot heavier than I expected.  I knocked my opponents ball into winning twice and they did the same for me once

He is a pretty cool young man, never too late to start Bocce Ball or any sport!!  Also, give Aunt Pat a hug ( she is only 92)!!  Thurston's quote, he gives me every week is “keep on keeping on B in T”!  Ooops he just texted me, gotta go!!

B in T Son in law Andre wins the PGA Midwest Assistant tournament last week!!

With the PGA at Southern Hills looming in 2 weeks Andre Torinho won the 2022 PGA assistant’s  match play Championship last Tuesday at Meadowbrook!!  So proud of this young man and yes I am gloating!!  The gents at Southern Hills stop what they are doing to see and\or hear Andre hit a 360-yard drive off of the 12th hole!!  The air in south Tulsa is let out when Andre bombs another golf shots at Southern Hills are legendary!!  He once hit a shot with so much thrust that two golfers in his foursome lost their toupes!!  True story!!  Andre is more famously known for hitting a golf ball on a laddie pencil ✏️ tee across I35 near a Blackwell, Oklahoma farm!!  Some Blackwell folks say this was a 450-yard shot and may still be rolling towards Wichita!!  

Day 2 of Lance Guarding the PGA Trophy:

Lance was seen at the new Aldi on Harvard picking out yellow squash while a giant PGA trophy loomed in his 25-cent Aldi shopping cart!!  Super job Lancer!!

Here are SEC schools with a more recent National Championship than Alabama, yes these teams were National Champs in such sports as Diving, Nude rowing, Table Tennis, Bocce Ball, and Croque - BUT never the less these NCAA Championships have occurred AFTER January 8th 2020!

1. Oklahoma State - Bryce Thompson and a super coach Boynton equals National Champions 2023!
2. Arkansas  - more talent than ever for the Napoleon coach!  Hog coach could fit under Nolan Richardson’s armpit!!  Both super Arkansas coaches!!
3. Oklahoma - Yukon Cornelius’ brother is back at center for the Sooners! 
4. Tulsa - new coach Eric Konkol brought 4 players back from portal land to Tulsa again!!  Nice move and a new outlook!
5. ORU - Guard McBride will replace Abmas and lead them to a 24 - 6 record!
6. Oklahoma Women - great 2nd-year coach, after second-round NCAA loss to Notre Dame by 40, Coach Beranszik made the girls shoot 500 free throws each before bed!!  They went to see The Batman the next day at the 2$ Cinema!!  Great coaching!

1. Booker T Washinton - 4 or 5 players are already being recruited by Tulsa's new coach Eric Konkol!
2. Kentucky - Kentucky coach Vidal Hair Spray, has some talent staying one more year plus other 5 star freshmen blue-chippers so...SSDD (same shat different day)
3. Kansas - New allegations regarding racketeering, drugs, and prostitution enabled Self to recruit every 5-star player in the world!!  Sounds like a cool place to learn!!  Bill also was rewarded with a 1 million dollar a year raise!!
4. Texas A & M - I am just adding the Aggies to see if our family members in Houston still read B in T stuff!!

The Ohio High School Athletic Association will vote on whether or not to allow high school athletes to receive $$$s for their name and likeness!!  We all are going to move to Canada!  NIL in high school, OMG!!!

Cardinals:

The Redbird's 14-9 record is good but Arenado’s bench brawling record is UNDEFEATED!!  Don't make the Redbird third base mad, just ask the entire Met team whom he challenged and charged after an average brush-back pitch!!  Rising star second baseman Gorman has 13 home runs in his first 20 games in Triple-A Memphis, while struggling Paul DeJong has had 13 strikeouts in his last 20 at-bats!  Analytic that shat!!

Dodgers:

The Dodger ownership agreed to throw in another 500 million to the payroll, so their pitching staff could have a new Bombardier Lear Jet each!!  20-1. Jk

Rangers:

These sluggers won two in a row for the first time all year last week and are currently in search for another two-game streak!  7-13

Royals:

The attendance at Royals Stadium is doing remarkably well which means that the pandemic no mask and vaccine folks are out in mass!  8-12

Astros:

Attendance is booming after the pandemic and trash can embarrassment is finally over!

Mr. and Mrs. B in T have leased a room to a family for the PGA Tournament!!  The Moonzappa pigmies family from The Congo are staying one week at the room formerly known as the Grandkid's playroom with padded walls for adults!! The family villagers are huge Tiger Woods fans and have traveled outside of The Congo for their first time ever!!  The family of four is well known for their shrunken heads business which has earned them millions!!  They have signed a contract to not shrink heads while in the United States!!  Mrs. B in T will be cooking a vegan menu for the family while they are in T town!!  They have requested a signed red Tiger Nike Polo shirt and Tiger balls!!  Tiger balls are highly popular in The Congo!!

B in T’s Pride is Overflowing!

My son, Lance who works for Southern Hills and is the backbone behind the scenes, has been assigned to stay with the PGA Championship Trophy until it is given to the winner!!  For 13 days he must sleep, eat, drive, and work 12-hour days and not let the Trophy out of his sight!!  

New Lululemon Shoe for Athletic Women:

The hit new shoe to wear at lunch at Utica Square called ‘Blissful’!!  This shoe cost 90 bucks per shoe and 180 for 2 shoes!!  What a deal!!  Super for kids soccer games or even dress-up fundraisers!!  The ‘Blissful’ shoe can be worn anywhere and at any time but remember it MUST be dry cleaned!!

No more Horror Movies for B in T:

After a late Friday night horror movie, Henry, my dog, and I tiptoed to bed and hid under the sheets!  We peered over the covers and noticed the nightlight for Henry, my dog, and Papa was off!!  So I rushed out, hit the nightlight button, and dove back into the sheets as a memory of the demonic movie I just tried to forget appeared!!  So, I dozed immediately upon reentry to the bed!!  At 3:03 in the morning, I felt some rumbling and heard noise under our King bed!!  Our bedroom door was open and our small mountain lion /house cat ran out of the bedroom!!  Problem solved!  Right? Wrong possession breath!  

So in a few minutes, the bed shuffling noise was BACK!!  I was terrified!  Henry, my dog, was terrified!!  Finally, Mrs. B in T was snoring!  I bravely walked to the other side of the bed (armed with my 1970 Wilson 1500 golf wood) and discovered the T-100 floor cleaner with red and green lights, staring at me!!  I removed and shut off the floor cleaning robot from H E L L!!  Now back to sleep for Henry and Papa, and continued snoring for Mrs. B in T!!

OU Spring Game:

OU’s Bowman Shines as Punt Returner!

Billy Bowman is ready to make an impact on special teams. Says he feels most confident with football in his hands!!  “This year we'll be able to be more free, returning kicks and stuff like that!!  Last year we weren't allowed to return kicks unless we needed it, said Sophomore Bowman!!  Well, the Sooners need it, Mr. Bowman!!

Indiana Cheer Leader Gets NIL Deal:

• Cassidy Cerney and holder Nathan Paris, the Indiana cheerleaders that saved the day by retrieving a stuck basketball during an NCAA basketball game, have made it big time by signing a t-shirt deal with Breaking T!!  

• 75k plus for the OU spring football game!!  We have our new coach Venables with an assist to former coach from Muleshoe, Texas to thank for that!  Around 10k in attendance for the USC spring game with Skinny jeans Coach Lincoln Riley!

• To My Hog Who are Faithful to B in T, I Will Send Your Hog Snout Coronavirus Mask to You Soon!!

• Memphis Tiger basketball program is up shat creek without a paddle!!  As I said a months ago, the Tigers would be under NCAA investigation under Penny soon!!  Hope they give Memphis much harsher penalties than Oklahoma State, which was not deserved to begin with!!

• Isiah Jacobs from Maryland via transfer portal has picked up an offer from Tulsa!!  Brother of the Raiders Josh Jacobs could be a stud at TU!!  “Blessed to receive my first offer from MY CITY, Tulsa first to believe in me!”  Keep that in mind when the power 5 offers appear, Jacob!!

• Metro Christian’s QB Kirk Francis has visited Memphis, North Texas, and Iowa State!  The kid is happening and at 6’2” 190lbs, has a great arm and QB presence!!  OSU Coach Gundy has his Orange Dodge Ram Dually Truck’s mapquest set to the Metro Coaches' offices!!

• Ohhhhhhhh........those were the days, men were men and Tulsa went to NCAA Tournaments and WON games!!  Eric Coley (#11)once took a basketball, jumped and took a nat off the top of the backboard, and THEN dunked the basketball and the frickin nat!!  True story!!

MLB

Cardinals 8-6 - Over half the Cards lineup is batting below the Mendoza line or .200 for those who do not understand old fart baseball jargon!!  Fredbird has a slightly higher batting average than cards catcher Yadier Molina!

Cubs - 8-8 - Cardinal traitor Jayson Heyward is batting 8th for the Cubbies and that is too high!!  Will Hayward is roaming right field in his 40s??  AA Cub studs are wondering when Jayson is retiring!  

Rangers - Radio broadcasters Matt Hicks and Eric Nadel are loved by my Mrs. B in T, cuz when I can't sleep she puts the radio headphones on 97.1 for the Rangers game, and those two mellow, calming voices put him right to sleep!!  7 - 12 start

Astros - warming up around .500 but watch out!

Royals - heading toward .500 with their sights on building a strong farm system!!  Don't plan a parade yet Royal fans!!

USA Bocce Ball Meets the Tulsa Center for Physically Limited!!

In one week 7 of our brave crazies at the Center for Individuals with Disabilities will be heading to Overland Park to be the first 7 officially USA Bocce Ball Certified folks from Oklahoma!!  The official USA Projected rankings going into the tournament:  Open Division Seeding:  Sherri Ball Striker Watson-seeded 4 out of 26 registered participants!!

Keith, Killer Blue Balls- 6 seed

John-no puffing in the room- 9 seed

Pam V - ballbuster -10 seed

Charlene - the projected female rookie of the year -12 seed

Bryan - only there for the food   and fellowship - 24 seed out of 26 registered, only rated higher than two folks that did not pass the drug test!

Wheelchair Division ratings:

Sean- only experienced USA baller!  3 seed!

Steve- projected Rookie of the Year USA Bocce 2022!  5 seed

These souls are braving a 4-hour road trip in a packed Center van with Bryan, ESPN Bocce cameras, staff mood swings, with Sherri and Pam Vest bickering over which bed Sherri needs to sleep in due to her nightly gastric problems!!  Keep these athletes in your prayers 🙏🙏🙏!

BOBBLEHEAD SPORTS:

Is Gus a Better Golf Cart Driver than Papa B in T?

Gus was concentrating after a bad hole and as his caddie, I explained that the maximum you can get is 8 on a hole!  We erased the 13 and gained 5 strokes!!  He was happy!  Papa was happy!!  I told him that for every par or below he would receive a Hotwheels car!!  After he birdies the 1st hole he did not get another par until the 8th hole where there was some controversy whether he received a 3 or a 4, eventually he admitted and changed his score to a 4!!  Lessons learned by Gus!  I wonder if Papa B in T gave him that second Hot Wheel car?  I will never reveal because of the player/caddie confidentiality agreement!!  I know what your thinking.....google it!!

Matt Wells to Join the Sooners!

Ex-Texas Tech head coach Matt Wells will join Oklahoma’s staff in an off-field role!!  The Sallisaw, Okla. native was previously head coach at Utah State (2013-18) and Texas Tech (2019-21).  Former TU assistant and finalist for Tulsa job in 2013!!

Kenny Picket - top QB in the NFL Draft - Small Hands Issues

Kenny Picket from Pittsburg is the top QB in this year's draft has a record small 8inch hands but has used stretching exercises and acupuncture from China to grow his hands 1\2 inch!!

• 1 Raiders - Gained - DeVante Adams - top received in the NeeeFinL!!!!!  Hard yes!!
• 2 Chargers - Gained Khalil Mack at one DE and Joey Bosa at other DE - extremely hard yes!
• 3 Denver - Gained QB Russell Wilson - extremely hard yes! 
• 4 Chiefs - LOSS - Tyreek Hill second-best receiver in NFL gone!!!

• At the corner of 61st and Memorial, there is a Scooters and a Hooters, for a second I thought I was in Heaven!!
• Tulsa Girls basketball ended up 17-11, losing to Wyoming in double overtime in the second round of the WNIT!!  Congrats to the Hurricane girls for the best season in 8 years!!  Great job, next year looks great with Poindexter (top freshman in the AAC) and Mayberry leading the way!!  New Coach Nelph is a keeper!!
• OU Girls basketball is back in a big way!  The Sooner girls met their match with Notre Dame but a great season for the girls!
• Tulsa’s and Booker T Washington’s own Tyler Lockett, who was runner up to last year's NFL man of the year is working out with Colin Kapernick in Seattle!  
• Eric Konkol was hired by Tulsa on the 21st of March, by the end of the day on the 22nd he had already emailed every high school boys basketball coach in the state (and contacted some by phone). That's totally awesome!!

MLB:

Cardinals - Arenado is hitting bullets everywhere, while Goldschmidt is hitting marshmallows - Pujols is hitting like he did the first time around with the Redbirds! 

Cubs - the names Happ and Contreras in the 3 and 4 slots in your lineup do not put fear in ya!

Rangers - after opening day starter, Jon Gray, went on the DL after 30 pitches, the 3-7 Rangers seem destined to suckville!  Ever since Texas dumped the Tulsa Drillers, the Rangers have been atrocious!!  Yep!!

Astros - a good start for the Astros, using Analytics rather than theft!!

Royals - Pitcher, Zach Greinke and Catcher, Salvador Perez, could be good WWE folks!!
