Venables in Uncharted Recruiting Territory:
The Sooners continue to look to expand their recruiting footprint to the Southeast under new head coach Brent Venables. Under Armour’s yearly spring recruiting camp circuit is in full swing, and the influence from Brent Venables staff in Norman was felt all the way in Atlanta a couple of weekends ago! At the Sports Illustrated All-American camp, the Sooners kept coming up to canvas some of the top defensive recruits in the region and had to get the Sooner name in front if them before making their college decision!! The biggest name in Atlanta, Oklahoma hopes to attract was defensive lineman Lebbeus Overton, who recently reclassified from a 2023 recruit into the 2022 class!! Oklahoma has also offered his brother, Maiciah Overton from Liberty, who just entered the Transfer Portal a scholarship!!
Probably the core of the coaching staff is Cale Gundy, wideouts coach and a coach with OU for almost 24 years!! He knows every waterhole and high school football field in Oklahoma!! Nice keep for the Venables staff!! Offensive tackle prospect Wilkin Formby a Tuscaloosa, Alabama native stands 6-7, and would be a nice addition to Bill Bedenbaugh’s offensive line room, as Oklahoma needs bodies along the front line after missing out on key targets over the past two recruiting cycles!! Venables is making it happen in Sooner Nation!!

Nikita Konstantynoski is a Center for the University of Tulsa basketball team and was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. Hearing about what’s happening in his hometown is overwhelming and cruel. The Tulsa team is having a bad year this year but not nearly as bad as his family in Kyiv, Ukraine! Everybody should support and lift each other up during this hard times. Continue to send thoughts and prayers out to the people in Ukraine!

Great win for the KU program, once the trophy is handed to the team, a local S.W.A.T. team is lowered into the Coliseum and the trophy is secured by the NCAA infractions committee and taken away to an isolated place while the NCAA continues to look at Kansas NCAA violations from the 1950s!!
