Bryan in Tulsa

Bobblehead Sports:

My daughter-in-law, also known as, the mother of grandbaby Charlotte, and my lucky son’s wife is an ORU graduate!!  So the B in T family will be rooting hard for the Golden Eagles despite our strong allegiance to the Golden Hurricane!!  Blood is thicker than water but when the two battle during the season (not this year, thanks to coronavirus) I will be wearing Tulsa blue and gold!!

Tournament Picks:

Ohio State 88 ORU 81

Lines of ORU students and alums lined up to enter the Prayer Tower after hearing they were playing the Buckeyes in the first round!!  The lines were longer than when Reverend Oral Roberts held himself hostage in the Prayer Tower until he raised enough money to cash flow his ministry and pay off his home.  ORU should not be taken lightly by any team!!  Three sophomores and a freshman make ORU dangerous for the future!!

Oklahoma State 77 Liberty 59

The Cowboys have more young talent than the OKC Thunder!!  State guards Cunningham

and Anderson would fit nicely into the Thunder lineup!!  Liberty is becoming a sports mecca and has NCAA eyes watching its quick rise to success!!  Cade Cunningham scores 28 and Avery Anderson scores 17 with 6 dimes!!

Oklahoma 78 Missouri 75

Oklahoma has good experience with Austin Reaves and Brady Manek!!  Believe it or not, the average age of the Oklahoma Thunder is less than the Sooners with certain lineups this year!!  Oklahoma saved their season with this win but their next opponent, Gonzaga, would be the 6th seed in NBA Western Conference!!  Brady Manek is 6 of 10 from the 3 point area, 28 points total, and 11 rebounds!!

Arkansas 91 Colgate 60

I will not be silly and call Colgate a toothpaste school but WTH.......this is comedy somewhat?!?!?!  Arkansas started its reserves due to Moses Moody having the starters go to White Castle for a late-night snack of 200 single burgers with cheese!!  Thirty seconds into the game Coach Mussleman let the starters in!!  Point made!  He will not have to jack with this crap πŸ’© in the NBA next year!!

Kansas 88 Eastern Washington 77

I thought Eastern Washington was better known for their rowing team but they have a darn good basketball team!!  Kansas ended up starting two team managers due to coronavirus!!  The depth was not good and when one of the KU managers had to leave early to take a Quantum Physics final they played with 4 players for the last 8 minutes!!  True stuff!  Google it!  I dare ya!!

Have a great sports πŸ€ week!
