The Tulsa Twister Center Boccia Team is headed to Saint Louis for the Mississippi River Regional!!  The 10th and 11th of April will have some of the best Paralympic Boccia players from the nation!!  Our team will have Lee BC (butt crack) Jennings who finished 6th in the nationals in 2024!!  When Lee picks his Boccia Balls up from the floor his BC shows 👀‼️ Our second Boccia para-athlete, Steven ‘the Boccia Ramp Machine’, won three matches against tough competition in nationals last year!! The only incident in the nationals was when Lee, Steven and Bryan AKA: Foghorn Leghorn jacked the Center van and tried to go to Hooters!! They were caught and reprimanded by the Center Mafia head Margie! Haha! The last Boccia para-athlete is B and T Foghorn Leghorn who is known for his loud mouth and loudness from other areas of his backside‼️

⚾️While this new style of MLB cap worked out just fine for the vast majority of teams throughout the league, the hat for the Texas Rangers caused some problems for anyone who speaks Spanish!The Rangers' version of the hat featured the team's "T" logo superimposed over the word "Texas." Unfortunately, the "T" logo went right overtop of the "X" in Texas, making the hat look as if it said "Tetas," which is a Spanish vulgarity for a woman's breasts‼️

The Cardinals have started the season like they want Marmol canned much faster than even I wanted!! Arenado and his salary is still with the team! I love it!! A number if baseball folks say the birdies will be 82-80 with Arenado! Geesh!  82-80 might win the Central‼️

Cubs

The Cubby Bear roster is a good combination of youth and veteran talent! Strategically mixing and matching these players in order to best utilize them will need a magic touch  from manager Craig Counsell or he will be sent down to the Iowa Cubs by all-star break!!

A few of these examples include youngster Pete Crow-Armstrong being surrounded by Kyle Tucker and Ian Happ in the outfield. In the infield, rookie third baseman Matt Shaw will work alongside Jon Berti, Justin Turner, and even another younger player in Gage Workman. On the other side of the diamond, first baseman Michael Busch will see the vast majority of the playing time, but Turner will also back him up.

Smith has just 32 games of pro experience, making his rise to an Opening Day roster the third quickest in major league history, since the Draft era began in 1965. Only Pete Incaviglia of the 1986 Rangers (zero games) and John Olerud of the 1990 Blue Jays (six) did it quicker‼️

Lets Talk DROUGHTS!

Enough about tornados, lets talk about rain droughts which are local weathermen's fault too!!  Since 2000, 57% of weeks in the Polecat-Snake (Tulsa, Creek County) watershed have had some drought, and 8% have had extreme drought!! Polecats and snakes are what my mom, grandma and I had for dinner in the 60s!!  Actually they had that and I had fish sticks and gator tots‼️ In 2012, Tulsa experienced drought conditions due to below-normal rainfall in the spring, summer, and fall!!  Cracks in the pavement turned into cracks in the soil over a 5-month period!!

During last year’s draft, Florida’s two-way star Jac Caglianone somehow fell to the Royals at the #6 spot, and the team made the smart decision to select him!! The youngster, now listed at six-foot-six-inches and 250 pounds, mashed in college, knocking 75 career home runs while adding another 28 doubles!! In his last year with the Gators, he slashed .419/.544/.875 for an eye-popping 1.419 OPS. He hit nine more home runs (35) than he had strikeouts (26).

Oh, and he also pitched!!

Currently he is probably the Royals’ best power-hitting prospect, not just now, but ever‼️ And this Spring Training, he’s making a strong statement that his days in the minors, which consisted of just 29 games for the Quad Cities River Bandits, plus some time in the Arizona Fall League, should be over!  OF is his spot but who cares with 3 homers and 6 extra-base hits and a .375 average in spring training!!

Pitcher Forrest Whitley faced early setbacks after a suspension related to a drug prevention and treatment program.  Whitley has a lively arm have but injuries further complicated his journey, prompting questions about his long-term role with the team! Whitley, now out of minor league options, must make the Opening Day roster or risk seeing his tenure with the club come to an end!  After feeling discomfort in his left knee during a game against the Yankees, an MRI revealed a bone bruise. The injury has led to a brief pause in his throwing activities, leaving him unable to contribute on the mound for a few days. This setback is particularly disappointing given his efforts last season when a transition to a relief role seemed to provide him with a clearer path to the Major League roster!  And remember “Run Forrest Run”‼️‼️
