Family Bobblehead Sports:
Brotherhood!
These old farts below are old TU Lambda Chi fraternity brothers from 100ish year's ago back in 1900 something! We meet one Saturday a month for breakfast at Talleys!! We call roll to see who is still with us, we make football road trip plans, we talk about ailments, testicle droppage, recent strokes, grandkids, and of course we bitch about TU sports, politics, and Coronavirus!! They all receive my B in T shat and seem to get a chuckle or lie very well!! As my 95-year-old uncle, Thurston says after critiquing my blog, we all must keep on keeping on!! Thanks brothers!! See ya in a week!!
B in T Notes:
Jim Brown was a true football player!
While Jim Brown was with the Browns he inflicted more pain in the opposition than he received!! He may have put more defenders in concussion protocol with his swinging stiff arms than any present-day players!!
Barry Hinson quote:
Being a Dallas Cowboy fan is like tryin to please my wife …. It’s really hard or impossible!!
Will Creekmore is Living a Dream!!
Former Monte Cassino, Edison, and Missouri State superstar power forward, has spent 12 years overseas breaking records and living the dream! Will’s coach at Edison was super teacher and mentor Michael Parish who recently captured his 300th career victory!!
I love watching this young man from kindergarten league at the Thornton Y to North Korea!! Keep on keeping on Will!! See ya off-season!! Bryan in Tulsa family loves ya!!
“Iron Privates” by Dave Hunsaker!
At the end of the Oklahoma State HUGE victory on the road over the number one ranked Baylor Bears the term ‘Iron Privates’ has brought national attention to Cowboy announcer David Hunsaker and the Cowboy program!! At the end of the game, the phrase ‘Iron Privates’ was exclaimed as Mr. Hunsaker was trying to coin a historic phrase to commemorate the greatest victory in Cowboy basketball history!! Iron Privates was the first Annunciation to exit his mouth!! Was David referring to a Navy Seal Team name or a group of Civil War scallywags?? Perhaps he was renaming the phrase cast iron balls!! Perhaps he meant one of my favorite rock groups, Iron Maiden, btw they will be in Tulsa at the BOK Center on September 29, 2022!! No shat!! Toby Roland, the world-famous play by play man for the Oklahoma Sooners, coined the phrase ‘Put the Ponies in the Barn and lock the Proverbial Barn’ to make millions with a kid book deal!! Dave will follow Toby into a new book writing deal for hundreds!!
Tulsa Girls Basketball Rocks!!
After decades of averageness similar to the current and past political leaders, this year's TU girls basketball team is AMAZING!! The Mayberry sisters (Sr. Maya and Soph. Wyvette) and Seniors Maddie Bittle from Bixby, Rebecca Livesay from Plano, and true frosh Temira Poindexter from Sapulpa complete a team that is 14-3 for the first time in school history!!
Maddie Bittle
The Mayberry girls along with older sis Teleya have helped keep TU above water with the help of their Razorback Hall of Fame guard/father, Lee Mayberry’s genes!! Temira Poindexter is the daughter of ex-TU basketballer Ray Poindexter and has been a freshman of the week 3 times in the American Athletic Conference!! Great things are happening with the girl's program and new coach Angie Nelp, from Eufala, Oklahoma!! A postseason tournament is a possibility!!
Dalton Wagner Razorback WWE NIL Deal:
At 6’9” 335lb, this young man-cub and the WWE announced that they have a new NIL agreement!! Dalton Wagner is upholding his verbal commitment to coach Pittman and playing one more year with the Hogs!! According to my TMZ sources he will get 500 dollars for body-slamming a defensive lineman but only 250 for a defensive back!! If a claw hold is performed with a helmet on he will receive 100 dollars, with the helmet ripped off and claw hold applied - 250 bucks!! Of course, if he applies a full sleeper hold during a prime time telecast he will receive 2,500 dollars 💰 and a dinner for 10 at the AQ Chicken House in Springdale, Arkansas!! True shat, I am too old to make this up!!
Cliff Kingsbury has some late-season woes as a head coach!!
Texas Tech:
* 2013: lost 5 of 6
- 2014: lost 4 of 6
- 2015: lost 4 of 6
- 2016: lost 6 of 8
- 2017: lost 6 of 8
- 2018: lost 5 of 5
Cardinals:
- 2019: lost 7 of 9
- 2020: lost 5 of 7
- 2021: lost 5 of 6
The heat is on and the beat goes on.............
Quote from Ross Turner of biblical proportion:
“The path ahead this offseason for the Dallas Cowboys is clear:
- Fire Mike McCarthy
-or hire Sean Payton NOW or
- Elevate Dan Quinn to HC
- Retool Offense under Kellen Moore to become about getting the ball to your best players vs. out-scheming teams
- Release/Cut Ezekiel Elliott for Cap Space
- Draft a RB in the 2022 Draft in the 2nd/3rd Round
In Summary:
Jerry Jones will do none of these things and we'll go 8-9 next year,
and the Cowboys will suck for 3 more decades!
Or..
Jerry Jones will marry Lady Gaga next year, become a new man and stay out of all Cowboy operations while touring Europe and Asia with the new savior of the Dallas Cowboys - Lady Gaga!!!
College Basketball Scores:
Oklahoma 78 at Oklahoma State 74
The Sooner team has been through a tough stretch while playing 4 teams in the AP top 12 recently! So......playing the OSU Cowboys was not a cakewalk but they survived a close game at Gallagher/Iba!!

FYI - The name ‘Oltzelberger’ is a Dutch name for hamburgers made from Oxen and Gazelle!! Google it!! I dare ya!
ORU 90 Western Illinois 80
IKR? Where in the heck is Western Illinois?! Max Ambas is fun to watch!!
