Bobblehead Sports:

Tulsa’s new sporting goods store Scheels has plenty to occupy the time for the grandkids including a giant Ferris Wheel in the middle of the frickin’ srore‼️ Ana, Gus and friends love the giant wheel from Scheels!

Back in our Tulsa days we had a 4 horse merry-go-round at Southland, the clothing racks at Irene Herberts Utica Square (great fun playing hide-n-seek in the racks‼️)

and Spencer’s Gifts at Southroads Mall where you could find lava lamps, and Penthouse Magazines‼️ Entertainment while shopping has changed over the last 50 years‼️

The Loudest College Football Venues:

Tailgates. Pageantry. Marching Bands. So many aspects make college football beyond the field of play, and a rabid fan base ready to erupt over a potential big play is a huge part, maybe even the biggest potential advantage of a home-field matchup in the fall‼️ While college football is performed in cathedrals we call “stadiums,” the uniqueness and diversity of each home field in design and volume on game day is why we love our teams and why we cheer them on. To be able to add “loudest stadium in college football” to your team’s resume is something every fan base should all aspire to accomplish‼️For the upcoming season, let’s see who is the loudest college football stadium Nationally and in Oklahoma!!

Top 5 Loudest College Football Oklahoma Venues:

1)When the kids or grandkids are messing with the remote and the volume goes MAX during an AAC or SEC game‼️Loud AS SHAT‼️

2)September 1990, when the game ended between Arkansas State vs TU and the 55 and over crowd left and was replaced by 46,288 New Kids on the Block fans! The decibel count went from 32.4 to 130.77 ‼️ Highest decibel increase at Skelly in one evening ever recorded‼️

TRUE SHAT GUYS‼️

3)Loudest screams ever recorded while watching a college football game- 1976 OU vs Nebraska at mom’s home when LCA brother Paul B. in anger at Billy Sims's 4th fumble threw his keys and caused our Zenith console TV to go snowy!! 103.67 decibel reading when my granny screamed at Paul‼️ Parts of this story may or may not have been fabricated‼️

4)Oklahoma State Paddles‼️The pounding paddles on stadium concrete alone can make visiting fans very anoid‼️

5)Buccaneer Field - Tonkawa Oklahoma

Once hunting season is in full-fledged gun shootin’, the noise from gunfire is extremely loud‼️ Guns shooting decibels are hard to register, so I’m guessing a million plus! Great background noise for Friday Night Lights!🏈🏈🏈

TOP 5 LOUDEST FOOTBALL STADIUMS NATIONALLY‼️

images_5.jpeg

1)Neyland Stadium-Tennessee

Yes, Neyland is the fifth-largest stadium in the country at any level, and one night in Knoxville is all you need to convince anyone that Neyland deserves its place on the list. It opened in 1921, and seats over 101,000 with a record of 125.4 decibels setting the bar high as one of the giants in the sport!

2)Ohio Stadium - Ohio State

“The Horseshoe” is another giant amongst giants, and the roar coming from Columbus is enough to shake anyone, especially visiting teams. With a capacity of 102,780 raging Buckeye faithful, watching the band dot the eye is a true experience to behold!  Very ORGASMIC‼️

3)Kyle Field - Texas A&M

Posting yell leaders in each stadium section to bring the faithful to life, also makes Kyle Field a legendary place so entrenched in the Aggie lore that they call it “The home of the 12th man.”

images_6.jpeg

With a capacity of 110,633, it is a massive advantage and the record of 126 decibels echoes the nickname Kyle Field has earned for being a constant advantage for the Aggies since 1927!

4)Ben Hill Griffin Stadium -Florida

Better known as “The Swamp,” Florida’s home-field advantage has aided the Gators on many an evening as they “Won’t Back Down” with 88,548 charged up, screaming Florida fans behind their backs. The noise level is real with a record decibel level of 115 and the wall-like structure seems to retain both the humidity and noise, making it difficult to hear anything but Gator fans‼️

5)Beaver Stadium - Penn State

Happy Valley is more like a nightmare for visiting teams. The home of the Penn State Nittany Lions seats 106,572, making it the second-largest stadium on the continent. Particularly known for the intense “White Out” night games where everyone dresses in white, the sheer size and record 122 decibels make this a place where dreams go to die unless you’re a Nittany Lions fan.

Cardinals

Fan favorite Larz Nutbar has not been what the Birds have needed!  So a trade for pitching is in the works! The pitching starters are no longer pitching well enough to not fire Marmol, AND BRING YADI TO HIS RIGHTFUL POST AS MANAGER OF THE 2026 WORLD CHAMPION CARDINALS‼️‼️

Cubs

The Cubs targeted starter JesΓΊs Luzardo as a potential trade addition over the offseason and nearly swung a deal to land the lefty from the Marlins. It was a trade that did not cross the finish line, but offered a snapshot into Chicago’s desire to keep adding to its rotation.

That process is ongoing for a Cubs squad that saw Luzardo, acquired by the Phillies, strike out 10 during an overpowering outing in a 7-2 loss for the North Siders on Wednesday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. With 50 days left until the trade deadline acquiring pitching is atop the wishlist of Chicago’s front office!

Royals

The Royals are still wallering around in averageness at 38-38 even with the next Babe Ruth, ‘The Jac’, playing all positions except 1st Base Coach!

Dodgers

Since putting Clayton Kershaw and Rick Suckcliff back into the starting rotation they are an average team with an above payroll of 1.5 Billion a year‼️

Astros

Altuve has played like Left field like a mouse in a maze chased by a an anaconda‼️Love his spunk and Mrs B in T thinks he is cuter than an infant Kuala bear! With 10 dingers, he still has some zonk in his 30 ounce bat!

Have a great sports weekend!
