FOS Notes ’bout Nutin:

FOS Rumor Mill:

Unknown sources from 48 Hours have their unknown sources stating that LeBron James will play Major League Baseball next year for the L.A. Dodgers!!  He has had time to think during the Coronavirus and he will start swinging a 42-inch bat soon!!  His first stop will be as a Left Fielder for the Double AA Tulsa Dillers in 2021!!  Season Tickets for 2021 Tulsa Drillers box seats will start at $25,000 for 70 games!!

NCAA Barks Back at Kansas and Self!!

The NCAA has a big stick and they do not know how to use it!  With no head cheese to run the current crack house of conference commissioners the Selfs and Petinos of college basketball run the show!!  Coach Self and assistant coach Kurtis Townsend had recorded conversations with Adidas reps regarding sending funds to certain recruits!  Self will get a patty pat on the keester from the NCAA scaredy-cats and keep churning on!!  On the other hand, the l NCAA did sound like they meant business!  The NCAA's opening statement in its response includes this passage: "There can be no doubt the men's basketball allegations are egregious, severe and are of the kind that significantly undermines and threaten the NCAA collegiate model. The institution, in taking its defiant posture in this case, is indifferent to how its alleged violations may have adversely impacted other NCAA institutions who acted in compliance with NCAA legislation."  Kansas has 90 days to respond and I for one will be interested to see if the NCAA and their 350 dollars an hour attorneys have any huevos!!

NCAA Teams with Most Heisman Trophy Winners:

Top 9  FOS College Football 2020 Breakout Players:

Trace Ford, DE, Oklahoma State
The Oklahoma State defense can count on a jump in production from players like Ford. As a true freshman in limited time last season, the Oklahoma native picked up four tackles for a loss, three sacks, nine quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. He could emerge as one of the Big 12's top pass rushers in 2020.

Chase Garbers, QB, California
How big of a difference does a healthy Garbers make to California’s offense? Consider this: He went 7-0 when starting and playing for more than a half in 2019. Garbers threw for 1,772 yards and 14 touchdowns to just three picks in nine overall appearances and added another 223 yards and three scores on the ground.

Dax Hill, DB, Michigan
Hill made an instant impact in his first season with the Wolverines. The Oklahoma native played in all 13 games, recording 36 tackles (three for a loss), one interception and three pass breakups. He went to Booker T Washington in Tulsa, Oklahoma!!

Zaven Collins LB Tulsa
At 6’5” and 260 Mr. Collins's speed and size have made him tremendously noticed by the NFL!!  The super-intelligent young man once carried a golf cart two blocks that was illegally parked at Chapman Stadium!!  True story, Google it!!   Really!!

Joseph Ossai, LB, Texas
This player alone could save Coach Herman’s 5 million dollar home designed by Chip and Joanna Gaines!!  Shhhh do not tell the Baylor folks!!  A change at coordinator and scheme should help Ossai build off a promising sophomore campaign. He saw action in all 13 games for the Longhorns in 2019, recording 90 tackles (13.5 tackles for a loss), five sacks and one forced fumble.

Spencer Rattler, QB, Oklahoma
Lincoln Riley won’t hand the starting job to Rattler, as he has to battle with Tanner Mordecai for the No. 1 spot.  Hahaha, this is not fairyland, and Rattler who is already picked in the top 5 of early Heisman Trophy predictions is already the starter!!   Riley’s track record of developing quarterbacks and the high-powered scheme in place, Rattler could post huge numbers in his first season as Oklahoma’s QB!!

Tykee Smith, Safety, West Virginia
Attrition took a toll on West Virginia’s secondary last season, which pressed Smith into receiving major snaps as a true freshman. The Pennsylvania native aced his debut for the Mountaineers and emerged as a key cog for the next couple of years.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, DL, Oregon
EThibodeaux wasted no time making an impact on Oregon’s defense last fall. After ranking as one of the top recruits in the 2019 signing class, the California native recorded 35 tackles (14 for a loss), nine sacks and a forced fumble.

James Mitchell, TE, Virginia Tech
Mitchell played in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2018 but did not record a catch. A year later, Mitchell emerged as a key cog in Virginia Tech’s passing attack by grabbing 21 receptions for 361 yards and two touchdowns.

FOS Youth Sports Are Back:  Parents Please Obey the New Distancing Rules!
Post Coronavirus youth sports in Tulsa and the Jenks areas are churning back to the fields as of the 1st week of May!! Baseball fields all over the state will have over-anxious parents ignoring the league social distancing rules just to see little Tommy hit a soft grounder to the pitcher!!  Certain moms will bring orange slices and low fat, no sugar Sunkist juice boxes that have been handled at the store, and at the youth events by numerous possible Coronavirus carriers!!  Be smart folks, no hugging, high fives, chest bumps, or any type of contact with the young children!!  If you must sit 6 inches apart outside the soccer or baseball field then get your asses 6 inches apart!!  This is serious shat and Oklahoma is one of the first to have local sports back so make us all proud to be the state that does things the right way!!

Words of wisdom from the unwise one!!
Do not dunk your Oreos in Jaeger!

Have a great semi sports week!!
